  3. specified number of attempts.  A failed attempt could be caused by
  4. either a busy signal, no answer, or no carrier before the modem
  5. time's out.  In the case of a failed attempt, you will be allowed to
  6. use the call back verifier again but should leave a message to the
  7. System Operator on your next call.
